Special Officer to Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Bhopal Singh Khadri, directed officials to ensure the prompt and quality disposal of all grievances received through the CM Window and Jan Samvad portals. He instructed officials to upload the Action Taken Report (ATR) on the online portal immediately after resolving each grievance, ensuring that citizens receive the actual benefits of grievance redressal.

Sh. Khadri was chairing a review meeting at his office in the Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, on Friday. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of CM Window and Jan Samvad grievances related to several key departments, including Home, Police, Police Housing Corporation, Waqf Board, Technical Education, and Food and Supplies.

He directed officials to ensure the early release of pending commissions to ration depot operators in both rural and urban areas of the state. He also instructed officials to ensure the timely disbursement of scholarships to SC and BC students studying in colleges.

Special Directions to Waqf Board and Jail Department

During the meeting, Sh. Khadri directed Waqf Board officials to submit a progress report within one week regarding complaints of illegal encroachments on Waqf Board properties across the state. In addition, officials of the Jail Department were instructed to resolve prison-related grievances on priority and improve administrative functioning. Directions were also issued to ensure the time-bound resolution of employees’ grievances pending at the government level.

Action Against Officials Found Negligent

Sh. Khadri cautioned officials that the Chief Minister himself is regularly reviewing grievances received through the CM Window and Jan Samvad portals. Merely marking complaints, forwarding them to other departments, or closing cases as a formality without ensuring a concrete resolution would not be considered proper redressal.

He stated that any unnecessary delay in resolving grievances or non-compliance with directions would be viewed seriously. Administrative and disciplinary action would be taken against negligent officials and employees.

He emphasized that the state government’s objective is clear: every grievance of the public must be addressed transparently and resolved satisfactorily.
