The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a sharp attack on the BJP over Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s remark about “Bhagwan Ram Ko Maarne” from a Ramlila stage, with AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj making it clear that her words had hurt Hindu religious sentiments and demanding an immediate public apology to Hindus across the country.
Drawing a contrast between Bhagwan Shri Ram and Ravan, Saurabh Bharadwaj stated that every Rakshas speaks of killing Shri Ram and saving Ravan, while every Hindustani speaks of killing Ravan. He further charged that the BJP government’s actions reflect those of Rakshas, pointing to the demolition of people’s homes, the snatching of jobs from young people, and the killing of young men and women for raising their voices for their rights.
AAP Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, “Ever since the BJP government came to power in Delhi, everything it has done has been demonic. Just as ‘rakhshas’ used to destroy people’s homes, this government, as soon as it came to power, began demolishing homes in colonies, JJ clusters and unauthorised colonies. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta even began demolishing people’s homes in her own constituencies. Besides this, the government has destroyed people’s livelihoods and sacked thousands of employees, including data entry operators working in Mohalla Clinics and hospitals.”
The Chief Minister continued, “The police brutally beat children and girls aged between 16 and 18, and this government is standing with the demons who tore girls’ clothes. When our daughters’ clothes were torn at Jantar Mantar, Rekha Gupta said nothing. She remains silent because she has a ‘rakhshas pravatti’. Every demon says, ‘Kill Shri Ram and save Ravana,’ whereas every Indian speaks of killing Ravana.”
He added, “The truth slipped out openly on Tuesday when Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while speaking from the Ramlila stage, stated that society would not be completely cleansed until every single Ram was killed. Not one of the people standing on that stage in their grand kurta-pyjamas stopped her from making such a statement.”
Saurabh Bharadwaj recalled, “This is the same BJP that, after people defeated it in Ayodhya and it managed to win a seat in Odisha, started saying ‘Jai Jagannath’ instead of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. To this day, the party continues to protect those who do ‘Chanda-Chori’, and no action has been taken against the big players because these people are talking about killing Shri Ram. The statement made by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is deeply shameful, amounts to outright blasphemy and is a major statement against Hinduism. The Chief Minister must apologise to all Hindus for this statement.”

Meanwhile, Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar stated, “What is in one’s heart eventually comes out through one’s words. The BJP has always had this mindset: it only wants votes and will do anything to get them. Bhagwan Shri Ram is angry with the BJP over the ‘Chanda-Chori’, which is why the party was rejected in Ayodhya. This is the same BJP that released a photograph of Modi Ji holding Bhagwan Ram’s finger. To win the West Bengal elections, its leaders did not even refrain from eating fish on a Tuesday. The Chief Minister ate fish while sitting inside a temple, and MP Anurag Thakur openly ate fish on a Tuesday while wearing a tilak and a kalawa.”
Kuldeep Kumar further said, “What was in Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s heart has come out through her words, making it clear that the BJP invokes Hinduism only for elections. Its hatred has now grown so much that if students speak about truth and honesty, it orders the police to lathi-charge them. If an Opposition leader exposes its wrongdoing, it talks about killing them, and if a Gen-Z youngster makes a video, they are slapped.”
“Bhagwan Ram is displeased with these people because they do not follow the path he showed. It is out of this frustration that the Chief Minister spoke about killing Bhagwan Ram. The entire BJP must go to Shri Ram’s mandir, bow down and rub its nose on the ground as an act of apology. Even then, however, it will not be forgiven.”
Meanwhile, former Model Town MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi stated, “On one hand, devotees and Hindus across the country are staging Ramlila, spreading his teachings from household to household and speaking about building an ideal society and Ram Rajya. On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is openly speaking about killing Bhagwan Ram from the Ramlila stage. Rekha Gupta has stated that they must not stop until every single Ram in society has been killed.”
Akhilesh Pati Tripathi further said, “These people are acting out of a demonic nature. They looted donations made in the name of Bhagwan Ram, crushed his ideals and even ate fish on a Tuesday to secure votes. These people neither belong to Bhagwan Ram, nor are they of any use, nor do they represent Hindu society. They belong only to the chair of power, and this has now become clear. They must fold their hands and apologise to the entire Hindu community, visit mandirs to atone for their actions, and rub their noses on the ground as they seek forgiveness. If they do not apologise, Hindu Samaaj itself will hold them accountable.”
